Why we started
Maine's land use rules are among the most detailed in the country. Shoreland zoning, DEP permits, local ordinances, and state statutes all overlap in ways that can stop a project cold — or cost a property owner thousands in avoidable mistakes.
We started Kennebec Shore and Land Consulting because we saw too many property owners navigating that complexity alone, without clear guidance. Our goal is simple: give you the same straight answers a knowledgeable neighbor would give — backed by the expertise to make them count.
We work primarily in the Kennebec Valley and central Maine, with deep familiarity with the towns, planning boards, and regulatory agencies in the region. When you hire us, you get someone who has walked the ground and knows the territory.
